The Marketing Insight

AI search is pulling answers from… 🥁drum roll pleaseeeee🥁

The verdict is in (and obviously subject to change): A June 2025 study found that Reddit was the most frequently cited by LLMs (aka big AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google’s AI Overviews).

Wikipedia came in second with YouTube and Google coming up next.

Now am I saying to go out and plaster Reddit with content? Absolutely not. (Seriously, please don’t do that.)

Incorporating Reddit into your content strategy needs to be strategic and thoughtful, because it will not necessarily work for every brand.

But what I do find really insightful from this study is it really highlights the need for a wider, more comprehensive content strategy — One that goes beyond your blog.

👉 Now more than ever, you need a smart, multi-platform content strategy that doesn’t just increase visibility—it also needs to signal relevance and credibility to LLMs to make it more likely your content gets pulled when someone hits “generate.”

Quick-hit insights and must-reads to keep your strategy sharp.

1️⃣ Move beyond the linear funnel

BCG (yes, the big corporate brains) confirmed what most of us running small businesses already feel: Customer journeys are messy as hell. People bounce around platforms, ghost you for weeks, then randomly come back ready to buy. And AI is only accelerating the chaos.

Instead of a straight line, BCG is pushing a “customer loop” model—where discovery, engagement, purchase, and advocacy feed into each other in a constant swirl. And honestly, it makes way more sense.

2️⃣ How to increase conversion rates: 26 tips & strategies for 2025

If your conversion rate isn’t budging no matter how many tweaks you make to your CTA button... it’s probably not the button. Unbounce is breaking down how most marketers are focusing on the wrong variables (hello, color and copy) instead of the real drivers like offer strength, audience alignment, and page intent. This guide is a must-read if you’re tired of changing headlines and still hearing crickets.

3️⃣ AI predictions that will completely change marketing — and life — in 2025

Love it or hate it, the reality is that AI is here—and understanding how to use it to your advantage is going to make your life a hell of a lot easier.

One standout prediction I noticed in this Hubspot article is that AI agents are about to have a moment—and as someone building with them at my startup BRDGE Insights, I can confirm: they’re not just hype. They’re smarter, faster, and often better. In fact, you may have seen agents pop up on ChatGPT recently! (But feel free to skip Grok as a platform all together. That’s run by Elon and you know we don’t f*ck with him over here.)

What’s Working in Marketing Right Now

Building in Public (IK, IK but hear me out…)

This is such a buzzy phrase right now (so naturally I’m cringing a bit including it here) but for good reason…

It freaking works.

This is something I’ve done for years and people LOVE to get a peek into the process or feel like they’re seeing behind the scenes.

I’ve recently been doing this a lot more with my newest startup BRDGE Insights. We’ve been intentionally pulling back the curtain—sharing sneak peeks into our development, early wins, product philosophy, and even a bit of raising seed funding.

And what we’ve seen is exactly why this strategy works so well:
→ More investor conversations
→ More interest from potential users
→ More clarity in our own messaging, because sharing forces refinement

And listen, you don’t have to overshare or post every day. But showing your thought process, priorities, and progress? It builds trust faster than any polished pitch deck because people like to feel like they’re a part of the story.

From My Corner

Here’s what I’m playing with in my own business right now:

If you follow me on IG or Threads, you know I have a lot going on right now 😵‍💫

Along with my marketing consultancy, I’m also actively selling another business, Bright Beta Co., as well as securing investors and client interest for BRDGE, while developing the platform.

And that means my schedule is very full so my ability to take on more 1:1 clients right now is limited (that might be the understatement of the year).

So it’s time to slightly shift my business model to include some passive income sources:

👉 And I'm starting with some Custom GPTs, all trained on my frameworks, systems, and marketing knowledge!

Essentially I’m creating tools that give you access to my strategy—without needing to book a 1:1—and I’m very excited to (hopefully) release some of these later in September!

Inbox SOS

Q: My emails aren’t converting like they were last year and I have no idea why.

A: There are a few reasons this could be happening, but here’s the one I’m seeing a lot right now...

People's attention spans have shortened significantly (yes, even more than previously).

So that means it might be time to rethink your strategy and the content you send.

Here are a few tweaks that I've seen working right now:
👉 Integrate personalization through segmentation. Speak directly to where someone is in the journey—not just to your whole list.
👉 Shorten your emails or break them into bite-sized, skimmable pieces. People want clarity fast and you don’t have to give it all away in your email. Give them the highlight reel and link out to additional info.
👉 Make the CTA unmistakably clear and action focused. No more simple “learn more” or “join now”. Bake in the transformation they’re looking for or add a little urgency. Use your CTAs to your advantage.

Really sit down and think: What changes can I make to not only grab my audience’s attention faster, but make it easier for them to get the information they’re looking for right now?
