PLUS SOME EXTRA SAVINGS FOR Y’ALL!
I’m a true believer that you don’t need any fancy tools and software to get your business up, running, and successful. But I also know that leveling up requires new systems which means investing in products and tools to help get you there.
Here are a list of business tools and resources that have helped me streamline, scale, and save a lot of time and money in the long run.
*I am an affiliate of several of these services which means I may receive a commission if you sign-up, at no additional cost to you. However, I only recommend and partner with services I actually use and love so you can trust that I’m not recommending or shilling crap to you.
Easily and effectively manage your business
HoneyBook
CRM System
Having a CRM system for my business has transformed my client onboarding system. Instead of using 3 tools, I now can send everything from one place… Not to mention their payment processing fees are lower than my previous invoicing software.
Mailerlite
Email Marketing
I’ve used numerous email marketing programs over the years and I can confidently say that Mailerlite has the most bang for your buck.
Their free account allows you to still have automations running, allows for easy segmenting, and a lot of other features you’d want but would have to pay for with other programs.
Calendly
Scheduling Software
I still use Calendly to schedule my Discovery Calls and 60-minute strategy sessions.
I can collect payment from clients as well as have them answer some important questions I need for their project at the time of booking with me. This makes the process seamless for clients.
Zoom
Video Conferencing
This is how I meet with all my clients these days.
I love that it integrates with both HoneyBook and Calendly so when a meeting is scheduled it creates a link and then adds it to my Google Calendar.
Pricing Calculator for Service Providers
Tired of having no idea wtf your price should be? Or if your rates will even make you the salary you’d like to earn? Or how much your should increase your prices by to scale? Knowing your numbers and making sure they align with your bigger goals not only makes you more confident in your pricing but helps you succeed at the speed of light.
The Straightforward AF Pricing Calculator will help get you in the know.
Everything else to run your business and look good doing it
Beautiful.ai
Presentation Software
This presentation software is a gamechanger! Their smart slide templates make building a well-designed deck easy and fast. And that’s exactly what sets them apart.
I love that I can build flowcharts easily as well as every other feature I’d ever need to build a thorough strategy and presentation for my clients.
Canva
Design Software
If you’re not versed in Adobe software, Canva is the next best thing! Design gorgeous social media graphics, create a portfolio (including a shareable link!), and just about anything else that you could possibly need to create.
I use Canva not just to design my own graphics and assets but I also use it to create graphics for my clients too.
Later
Social Media Scheduler
Always forgetting to post your social media posts?
Or trying to manage multiple accounts?
Later is hands down the best social media scheduling software I’ve used in my 10+ years working in social media.
Plus, you can even schedule Reels now too!
Manage your money effectively
Wave
Accounting Software
I’ve used Wave for invoicing (before integrating my CRM) but I also use it as my accounting software. They also allow you to run payroll and have a bank account too. There are a lot of features so you can manage your money all in one place if you choose to!
Gusto
Payroll
By far the easiest payroll system to use when you’re ready to either put yourself on payroll or you have a new hire to put on payroll!
Set up was simple and everything is now automated making paying myself easy, peasy!
